psychic Energy Work

          What is Energy Work ?

Energy Work is a phrase used to describe a wide range of modalities employed to treat the human body and spirit.  Simply stated, everything in the universe is composed of energy. Matter, once considered to be separate from energy is now considered to be energy, just in a different form. Our physical body and spirit are made up of energy.  Everything we feel, think, say and do is energy. Yes, even the thoughts we create are energy. The body has seven main energy centers known as the Chakra System. Energy Work, approached through meditation, focuses our attention on the seven Chakras. While in a state of meditation the goal is to move out energy from our Chakras that is no longer for the highest good and replace it with a healthy energy that moves us forward in a positive way.

History of Energy Work

Energy Work is not a new concept. Ancient religions in Asia taught about the body's energy system, also known as meridians, thousands of years ago. Most Buddhist sects, some dating back to 500 BC, teach energy principles of the Chakra System. Indian yogic tradition also dating back thousands of years describes the main energy centers of the body or Chakra System.  Even Christian sects describe healings performed by ‘laying of the hands’ with hands playing an important role in the movement of energy.

From the ancient Sanskrit language of India, Chakra means ‘circle’ or ‘wheel’. Each of the body’s seven Chakras consists of moving circles of energy, often seen or displayed as areas of differing color, all ideally working in harmony. The philosophical models of the Chakra System fold together the concepts of body and mind into a single unit.

Energy Work in the United States

C.W. Leadbeater, a British clairvoyant, researcher and author (1854-1934), spent many years in India studying and translating ancient Hindu manuscripts dealing with beliefs about the body and mind. Leadbeater traveled extensively throughout the United States lecturing about his findings that comprise his esoteric writings. One of his works, published in 1927, is called "The Chakras”. The core of this book's information can be found in many of today’s models of Energy Work.

One of the better known pioneers of Energy Work is Edgar Cayce (1877-1945). As a clairvoyant and medical intuitive, Cayce’s past life readings brought forth not only predictions but volumes of information on topics such as Spiritual Growth, Meditation, Energy and Prayer. Cayce used information contained in the ancient Sanskrit ‘Akashic Records’, which purportedly describe all the knowledge of human experience, to receive his answers when in trance. Cayce’s legacy contains a large body of work that includes over 14,000 of his recorded readings, many of which still influence what is written by others today.

Lewis Bostwik (1918-1995), a Clairvoyant and teacher from Berkeley, founded the Church of Divine Man. Its mission is to serve the spiritual evolvement of humanity with a focus on teaching, healing and community. In 1972 he started The Berkeley Psychic Institute with a curriculum focused on spiritual and psychic development.  The concept of using the Rose as a tool to work energy was developed by Bostwik and is part of the foundation of principles taught at the Berkeley Psychic Institute.

Clairvoyant Robert Watson, one of Lewis Bostwick’s students, went on to found his own Institute, The Psychic Works Institute located in San Leandro, California.   Watson incorporates the basic principles from Bostwick’s teachings with his own discoveries in teaching energy work.

Energy Work Today

I have taken the basic foundation laid by Bostwick and Watson's teachings and through study and exploration have come up with my own foundation or platform to teaching  Energy Work, Meditation and Healing. This is an on going learning proccess for both myself

as well as my clients and students.

I owe a debt of gratitude to Cecilia , a very gifted clairvoyant, for our work together on several exploratory projects. Cecilia, with a degree in Biology, incorporates clairvoyance with her expertise and in the field of Energy Work. We have studied The Mercaba (an ancient vehicle, discussed in the Kabala, for inter-dimensional travel through meditation) and its relationship to the Chakra System.  We have studied how the endocrine system and DNA relate to the Chakra System.  Also in the sample of subjects we study are ‘Elementals’ and their place in our world, the Celestial Hierarchy and their assistance to mankind, and the use of Healing Guides to assist with remote healing work.

Over the last two decades many books have been written about the principles of Energy Work. With this broad body of work have come new teachers with diverse backgrounds and different philosophies, all with a similar message: the universe is made up of energy. We are all a part of that energy. We are the creators of our own experiences. We are all an expression of and a part of Creator/Source/God. ‘Seek Your Own Truth’ is the mantra that springs from this great body of work. The wealth of information on Energy Work teaches us to use our inner guidance to seek out our own truth.

The principles of energy work are for everyone of every age of every race and religious background.  You do not have to sit in the Lotus position for hours at a time. You do not have to renounce all of your worldly possessions and live on a mountain top. You do not have to be psychic or clairvoyant or possess any special mental gifts in order to work energy (although these gifts will develop as you practice energy work).  Right now you can sit quietly and connect to Creator/Source/God and begin a journey on your own personal path of discovery.  In seeking your own truth you begin to open up to all that the universe has always offered you.

In developing this website it is my hope that if you who read the information contained in these pages, and practice the techniques I give, you will gain the basic knowledge to work your own energy and propel yourself on the journey to Seek your own truth.

With gratitude,
